Playa de Las Américas, better known by the name of Las Américas, is located in the municipality of Arona, in the southwest of the island of Tenerife, and is one of the main tourist centres on this Canary Island.
This area, which stretches from Mount Chayofita to Adeje, contains a concentration of several beaches that were created artificially using sand from the African mainland.
